Fishtale is a “go anywhere, do anything” Pilothouse yachtfisher that encompasses versatility in every sense of the word. Whether fishing and diving in Mexico, Central and South America or cruising the San Juan Islands and Alaskan Fjords, Fishtale will keep all aboard in total comfort and luxury.
Her revolutionary Tom Fexas hull design rivals the fuel efficiency of the most conservative gas sipping trawlers. Twin Cummins QSM-11 engines give her the power and speed necessary to chase down a school of tuna or push through an unexpected weather system.
The Mikelson NOMAD was designed and built to be among the safest, most reliable, strong and seaworthy yachts available in this size range. The seller has spared no expense in keeping her in excellent condition.
Fishtale is an extended cockpit Mikelson NOMAD designed, built and outfitted for fishing and cruising in total luxury and comfort. She features a 3 stateroom, 3 head layout and also includes two crew bunks aft in a cabin area completely isolated from the yachts main interior. A huge full-beam, mid-ship master stateroom with a full-beam head puts the owners in total comfort. Additionally, the master is accessed via an entrance in the salon and completely separated from the guest accommodations.
Guest staterooms are located in the forward area of Fishtale and accessed via a stairwell leading down from the pilothouse. The forward V cabin features bunk beds with sleeping for 4 while the VIP stateroom located to port sleeps a couple on the nearly queen sized berth, with full sized washer and dryer below, and an additional guest on the upper bunk if a third needs sleeping accommodations. The guest head is located across the companionway to stbd and features all the accommodations your guests will need.
Large walk-around side decks make traversing the exterior of Fishtale safe and comfortable. Her portuguese bridge with port and stbd wing stations allow the boat to be driven just outside the pilothouse sliding door with ease.
Above the pilothouse and salon there is a huge boat deck, steering station and SS tower with controls for enjoying the weather or spotting game fish. This is an excellent area to run the boat on those beautiful sunny days in Southern Mexico or up north in Alaska and BC if there’s a break in the cloud cover. Seller had a full time captain maintaining this Mikelson Nomad and an open checkbook policy when it came to maintenance and upkeep on the boat.

This NOMAD features the very popular “up-Galley” layout, putting the galley directly behind the pilothouse. Cooking underway or fixing a snack or cup of coffee on a long night passage is always easy and convenient.
